Welcome to our salon. These Terms & Conditions ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of every dog in our care. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following:

1. Health & Vaccinations

  • Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious conditions.

  • Please inform us of any medical issues, allergies, injuries, or behavioural concerns beforegrooming.

  • We may refuse service if a dog appears unwell or unsafe to groom.

2. Behaviour & Safety

  • Your dog’s safety and our staff’s safety come first.

  • If a dog becomes aggressive, overly stressed, or unsafe, we may stop the groom.

  • A handling fee may apply for dogs requiring extra time or support.

  • Muzzles may be used when necessary for safety.

3. Matted Coat Policy

  • Severely matted coats may require shaving for the dog’s welfare.

  • Shaving may reveal hidden skin issues or cause temporary irritation.

  • Additional de‑matting or shave‑off fees may apply.

4. Senior Dogs & Dogs with Health Conditions

  • Older or medically fragile dogs will be groomed gently and at their own pace.

  • Grooming may be stopped if the dog becomes distressed or fatigued.

  • Owners accept that grooming carries increased risk for senior or unwell dogs

5. Fleas & Parasites

  • If fleas are found, a flea‑cleaning surcharge will be added.

  • Owners are responsible for ongoing flea prevention.

6. Appointments, Cancellations & Late Arrivals

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.

  • Late cancellations or no‑shows may incur a fee.

  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened groom or rescheduling.

7. Payment

  • Payment is due upon collection of your dog.

  • Prices may vary depending on coat condition, behaviour, or additional time required.

8. Grooming Results

  • We aim to achieve your preferred style, but results depend on coat condition, behaviour, and safety.

  • If a dog cannot tolerate certain procedures, we may omit them for welfare reasons.

9. Nail Trimming

  • Nail trimming carries a small risk of bleeding if the quick is long or sensitive.

  • We take every precaution, but the owner accepts this risk.

10. Emergency Veterinary Care

  • If an emergency occurs, we will attempt to contact you immediately.

  • If you cannot be reached, we may seek veterinary treatment on your behalf.

  • Owners are responsible for all veterinary costs.

11. Photography & Social Media

  • We may take photos or videos for records or promotional use.

  • Dogs should be toileted before the appointment.

  • Please collect your dog promptly once notified that the groom is complete.

Additional Terms for Cat Grooming

Cat Behaviour & Handling

  • Cats can become stressed or reactive during grooming due to their natural sensitivity to handling, noise, and unfamiliar environments.

  • For safety, we may use towels, protective equipment, or calming handling techniques when necessary.

  • If a cat becomes aggressive, highly stressed, or unsafe to continue, the groom may be stopped or modified.

Health & Safety for Cats

  • Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, skin issues, heart problems, or behavioural concerns prior to grooming.

  • Cats with severe matting may require a shave‑down for welfare reasons. This may reveal hidden skin issues or cause temporary irritation.

  • Elderly cats or cats with medical conditions will be groomed gently and at their own pace. Grooming may be stopped if the cat becomes distressed.

Cat Grooming Limitations

  • Cats may not tolerate certain procedures such as drying, nail trimming, or extended brushing.

  • For welfare reasons, we may omit any part of the groom that causes excessive stress or risk.

  • We do not perform lion cuts or shave‑downs without clear welfare need, as these can be stressful and may not be suitable for all cats.

Owner Responsibilities for Cat Appointments

  • Cats must arrive in a secure carrier.

  • Owners should ensure their cat has access to a litter tray before the appointment.

  • Cats must be collected promptly once the groom is complete to minimise stress.

Liability for Cat Grooming

  • By booking a cat grooming appointment, the owner acknowledges that grooming carries inherent risks, especially for cats who may react unpredictably. The owner agrees to release the salon, its owners, and its staff from liability for injury, stress responses, or complications that may occur, provided reasonable care and professional standards were followed.
